About Sarah's Celebration Cakes

Sarah's Celebration Cakes was set up in 2015 to offer customers individually designed cakes, perfectly decorated with exceptional taste at realistic prices reflecting the care and attention that goes into every single one of my cakes.


My love of baking started at an early age when my Mum taught me how to bake. Some of my earliest memories are of mixing cakes and being allowed to lick the bowl!! Back then, I didn't have an expansive repertoire and for months my family tucked into Rock cakes and Eccles cakes. Luckily for them, I progressed into the experienced and talented baker that I am today.

I love the sense of creating something beautiful out of the simplest of ingredients and love to bake things that I know  my friends and family will enjoy and appreciate.

My passion for cake decoraing began when I was given the opportunity to decorate my sister's wedding cake! I was young and naive then but apparently I did a good job! As a result, I have now been making celebration cakes for family and friends for many years. Thanks to their support and encouragement, Sarah's Celebration Cakes was launched.

Dietary Requirements

Many people come to me that have special dietary needs. If you assume having a food intolerance or allergy means tasteless and uninspiring cakes, think again. I am determined to offer the same choices to all my customers, no matter your requirements or preferences.

My Background

For years I was largely self-taught. Now I hold a PME  Masters Certificate. PME is an internationally recognised qualification in cake decorating. I took this at Cakes4fun™ in Putney, London. It consisted of three modules: sugar paste, sugar flowers, and royal icing.
